Website Overview

The UGA-Tunisia Educational Partnership is an international initiative founded and directed by UGA Engineering Professor Takoi K. Hamrita. Engaging and integrating university, government, and community resources for substantial and sustainable international development and university internationalization, the Partnership has been piloting essential reform efforts in Tunisia while providing for the exchange of over 100 individuals, including higher education leaders, diplomats, administrators, faculty, staff and students from several universities, departments and disciplines and all tracks of the university system (teaching, research, service and administration).

This website is still under construction and is designed to serve as an evolving resource to support and facilitate project management, collaboration, network building and information sharing, to disseminate partnership programs and results, and highlight our impact and progress.

The Partnership is the culmination of the efforts of a passionate alliance of people representing an array of disciplines, universities, specialties, languages, titles, and affiliations. The communal investment of energy and dedication is what has allowed the Partnership to continue to flourish. Many of the people involved with our programs have done so dynamically, fulfilling different roles and thus furthering the holistic and multifaceted aspects of our partnership. To reflect this partnership characteristic, the website is also designed dynamically to highlight people involved and the roles they play. You can learn about a particular individual’s involvement in our programs by clicking on their name under the people section, and the search engine will bring up all references to the individual within the site.

We encourage you to browse our website and to contact us with your suggestions, questions, or comments.
