University Management Overview

In 2002, The Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education formed a new initiative to encourage Tunisian universities to engage in self assessment. The Ministry appointed a National Committee for Evaluation with the mission of developing an evaluation system for Tunisian universities to improve the quality of teaching and research, the management of human and physical resources and the identification of difficulties that hinder performance of the institution.

The UGA-Tunisia Partnership supports the Tunisian Higher Education System’s efforts to increase institutional effectiveness through university management training for faculty and administrators. These workshops connect Tunisian administrators with UGA counterparts, and emphasize assessment and leadership development.
