Curriculum: The University of Georgia- Tunisia Educational Partnership Project supports the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Tunisian universities in their reform efforts to modernize the education system, increase its relevance and impact on social and economic development, and further tune it to international trends in education. The project, which is grounded in the reality of Tunisia, is comprehensive, holistic and far-reaching. Through an alliance of Tunisian and UGA leaders, administrators, faculty and students and with the support of the Tunisian national and local governments, we have been working together since 2003 to enhance access to higher education and the use of the latest information technology, and to strengthen the links between the different layers of the education system and the community so that the university is a more active player in civic society.

This service-learning course provides the opportunity for students to engage in the UGA Tunisia Educational Partnership. Working side by side with UGA and Tunisian project team members, students get the opportunity to contribute to Partnership objectives while gaining a unique international project experience.
